Store-bought jarred sauce is convenient, but almost always has added sugar and fillers.

Getting a good one that isn’t loaded with junk can cost as much as $9 or more!

The key to this delicious easy homemade marinara sauce is to start with the best quality tomatoes.

It may cost a bit more per can, but since you don’t eat a ton of it on keto anyway, trust me it’s worth the price (and still cheaper than a decent store-bought marinara.)

Instructions

  1. In a small blender or magic bullet, blend tomatoes, olive oil, and ½ cup of the liquid from the can until mixture forms a sauce.
  2. Add the herbs and spices and whisk to incorporate. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  3. That's it! Serve on your favorite keto pizza crust!

Notes

The sauce can be used immediately, refrigerated for up to a week, or frozen for later use.

Tip: Instead of dried basil, oregano, and parsley you can add Italian Seasoning. If you may like a thin sauce simply whisk in the water or broth until the tomato paste is to your desired saucy-ness.
